Police K-9 Training Division
PPA’s K-9 training division was designed to provide both trouble shooting and maintenance training of police K-9′s. Our management personnel has conducted maintenance training for several bay area agencies under the direction of Sam Decker of the Martinez Police Department from 1992-1998. From 1998 -2003 our management personnel joined and provided K-9 training for the Bay Area Working Dogs Association (BAWDA).
Also in 2002, our management personnel provided weekly maintenance training of canines and assisted with trouble shooting problems for the San Francisco Police Department. Other agencies include, South San Francisco, Hayward, Solano County Sheriffs, US Park Police, Douglas County and Washoe County Sheriffs.
In addition to these services, our K-9 management personnel was contracted in 2007 by the San Francisco Police Department to provide patrol, narcotics, and explosive detection for their K-9 unit. In 2009 our K-9 management personnel was contracted with the Department of the Interior at the Presidio in San Francisco (United States Park Police), and for the past two years with San Francisco State University Police.
